This is Rosie.
On June 15th, she celebrated her birthday.

This web space is her birthday present.
As the name suggests, she is not generally one to sit still.
This space will hopefully be a hub for her and the people that want to know what is going on in her life. a place to put photos of her races, funny pictures and videos she finds on the internet, links that she wants to remember or be able to have other people look at, and any other number of frightening uses she may find for it.
To you, mom, who i love so very much.

The Wedding
This is Sam & Kate at their wedding July 8, 2006
It was in the back mountains of North Carolina. We were so far back in the mountains we had to get lost to get there. It was a lovely, sultry, southern event from the bridesmaids’ luncheon to the reception. All celebrations took place outside, the air was warm, a breeze ruffled dresses prettily, and the men perspired.
W stayed in a lovely “cabin” right near the wedding location, which was not a fun drive over the mountain from Kate’s family’s house. The guys looked particularly dashing for the rehersal dinner.
After that, there was a bit of a ping-pong bachelor gathering at our cabin. Not to worry, everyone could sleep in.
The wedding itself was riverside and it could not have been more perfect. A tent was also set up in case it rained, but provided a cozy environment for

Beach Week 2006
This year we happened to pick the hottest week of the year for the beach. Which would not have been bad, after all you are at the beach it’s supposed to be hot. Anyway, the air conditioning in out house did not work hardly at all which made things unbearable at times. We had good waves the first couple of days and the sea kayaking was fun. The wind changed, we got a land breeze and the waves died. The water became very warm and for several days it was tropical blue and crystal clear. I had never seen the water like that in that area. Niko and Annie had a large ray go under their kayak, very cool.
We were joined by Lynn my dearest friend and some of her family. Everyone helps cook
and everyone enjoys the beach
Most of the time we either sit on the beach and read, go for walks, or play in the water. It’s an opportunity to be together without stress and away from work. People come and go as they can and stay as fits their schedule. I hope we will be able to do some type of week together during the summers as time goes by.
Niko has decided this summer to grow his hair as long as possible and even start on a scruffy looking beard. This is one of those pictures that his future children will hoot over when they are 15 and ask their dad, “Did you really look like that Dad?”
